Dude of the Week: Christopher Nolan

If you have been online at all in the last two weeks, one of the main topics has been the latest Christopher Nolan movie, The Odyssey. Last week, I made the trip to an IMAX theater to see this masterpiece. The Christopher Nolan glaze online has been heavy with this release, but the movie was everything it promised to be. It was a great rendition of one of the most well-known books in human history.

I truly enjoyed this movie, and I would urge anyone to go see it. Even if you do not know the history behind The Odyssey, you will still enjoy it. That is why this week’s Dude of the Week is Christopher Nolan.

EVERYONE is Gambling: WNBA

Starting to think the WNBA and their decision makers are the most braindead people on planet earth? Yeah this should confirm that thought.

THE LEAGUES OFFICIAL INSTAGRAM page is posting videos of the players MAKING BETS ON REAL WNBA GAMES.

At this point Logan Paul could probably run their league better and he filmed a dead guy and created one of the worst beverage companies of all time.

Romo Warms Up for His Sobriety Test

On July 23rd, 2026 Mr. Tony Romo was pulled over on his way to “Grandma and Grandpa’s.” Romo was on his way back from the golf course where he most likely had north of 15 beers – I mean this guy was fucked up.

Obviously a shitty situation, but there’s one part of the story I can't help but laugh at… When asked to do a sobriety test, Romo started stretching like he was getting ready to go play on Sunday.

Can’t hate on the move. Possibly was trying to buy a few extra seconds to sober up or shit, maybe it was a good ole fashioned “don’t have to get ready if stay ready” moment.

Either way the stretching didn’t do a lick. Romo was arrested with an OWI and the footage pretty much shows you everything you need to know.

Now, I hope the best for Mr. Romo and am happy no one got hurt. That said, man oh man do I hope this keeps him out of the booth this season. The Browns are already tough enough to watch, the last thing I need is to hear this guy say the most obvious shit off all time to piss me off even more as I ruin my Sunday.

Don’t drink and drive kids. Godspeed.

Monica McButt

Every day I wake up to some of the worst sports journalism surrounding a single sport with the coverage of the WNBA. It feels like this league just cannot do literally anything right. Their commissioner might be the dumbest important person I have ever seen. It's total mismanagement of their stars and fan base. Adding to the bad management are the bad takes.

Monica McNutt has inserted herself into a lot of the discourse surrounding the Caitlin Clark drama. McButt, as I like to call her, thinks that Caitlin Clark needs to take accountability for a terrible article that was written about her. Literally something she has no control over. It's just a hit piece full of hateful opinions from another terrible journalist who somehow still has a voice (Nancy Armour). But anyway, McButt somehow thinks this is Caitlin's fault. ESPN has done some firing recently, and if they paid attention to their viewers, they would fire McButt.

You may also remember how she went viral earlier this year when she thought Druski’s Barry Sanders jersey was actually a Shedeur jersey. I mean, she doesn’t even know sports. Just another terrible media member who somehow still has a platform.

Jerry Jones Looks Like Sh*t

Yes, this guy is making roster decisions in the National Football League. Listen, Jerry Jones is an NFL legend and truly one of the most transformational people in the league's history.

That said, it’s gotta be time to hang em up brother. There is no possible way at 83 years old and looking like this, he is able to make rational, cognizant, well-minded, strategic decisions for this team.

If I was a Cowboys fan I would be so disheartened to know there is little to no hope moving forward. Yes, I am a Browns fan, but at least no hope is our standard. America’s team has false hope with this guy making decisions…

FOOTBALL IS BACK

Football is so close to being back that grown adults are suddenly studying depth charts like they're cramming for the bar exam. Every preseason highlight has us convinced our seventh-round rookie is the next Hall of Famer, and every training camp clip is enough to spark a 47-comment argument. The grills are getting cleaned, fantasy football group chats are waking up from hibernation, and weekends are about to become socially unavailable until February. It's almost time for irrational optimism, dramatic overreactions, and confidently saying, "This is our year," for the 19th season in a row.

Where Does Skubal Land???

The #1 Roth Conversion Mistake That Costs Retirees

Most people missed the first Roth conversion window. History is offering a rare second chance — but not a long one.

With today's tax rates extended, IRA Millionaires have a brief stretch of historically low brackets left. When it closes, the math changes: higher rates, bigger required distributions, and fewer conversion opportunities each year you wait.

Craig Wear, CFP®, has spent 15+ years helping more than 3,000 families with $1M+ in IRAs plan Roth conversions — helping them avoid a projected $10B+ in lifetime taxes. His new book, Roth Conversion Reset, is the step-by-step playbook:

Lock in today's low rates
Avoid RMD surprises at 73
Protect your spouse from survivor taxes
Keep more for your heirs
