Dude of the Week: Caleb Williams

Sports Illustrated
Playoff football just opened up with a banger of a weekend. Rams vs Panthers, Packers vs Bears, and Bills vs Jaguars. Out of all of these great games one really stands out. Da Bears really stood on business with an insane comeback led by their finger painting QB, Caleb Williams. Caleb Williams is this week's Dude of the Week. Williams just put on one of the most impressive fourth quarter performances we have seen in the last 10 years. That fourth down throw to Rome Odunze was insane and saved the game. I cannot believe they won and couldn’t be happier (I had Bears at +200 ML).... Matt LeFluer continues to choke leads and Jordan Love cannot finish a game to save his life. The Bears seemed dead this whole game until the last 6 minutes. As someone that has never been to Chicago I am so jealous of the environment in Chicago right now. Chicago faces a tough opponent in the LA Rams on Sunday. Chicago deserves a good football team and Caleb Williams combined with that psycho Ben Johnson may have just brought them back to greatness.

The Standard has Changed

This is painful for me to write, really painful. I was at the Monday night Massacre in Pittsburgh. A day I will never forget. So much hope in the city, just to be stabbed through the heart. The Pittsburgh Steelers played the Houston Texans on Monday night in one of the worst games I have ever seen. I am not even going to get into the game itself. This offense sucks, but Tomlin is gone finally. Now I am a day 1 Tomlin guy, I really never wanted him fired until this year. But this game really put the nail in the coffin for me. Even through all the “Fire Tomlin” cheers, Mike still does the right thing. On Tuesday mid-day Mike Tomlin decided to step down as the Steelers head coach. Doesn’t get much classier than that. Now the search for a new franchise coach begins for the first time in my conscious lifetime. We need someone who knows offense or can at least pick good coordinators. I am okay with a Robert Saleh or Chris Shula because I think they will pick the right coordinators. We cannot go back to a motivation speaker at the helm, I want one of those nerdy coaches on either side of the ball. Shit at this point I would take Mike McDaniels in a heart beat as an OC or a HC. We will see who the Steelers pick to be our coach for the next 20 years and hopefully they will be good, this roster is good with a few big needs on offense obviously and a cemented QB. Pittsburgh will be back soon.

More College Football

As I am writing this Dante Moore just announced that he will be returning to Oregon for another year rather than entering the NFL Draft. This just shows no one wants to play for the Jets lollll. Moore had a rough game versus Indiana last week. Even though he had a bad game it didn’t really hurt his draft stock too much. Still, Moore decides to take a gamble and stay another year in what could be a very stacked QB draft class of 2028. Interesting to see if Oregon can get the job done next year with Moore staying behind center. The only two schools in the college football playoffs with returning QBs will be OSU and Oregon. I have to imagine both of them will be at the top of the favorites list to win the chip next year. The real question is will we see more of this now that NIL is around and paying guys so much money? Trinidad Chambliss is trying to fight the NCAA in court in order to stay another year at Ole Miss. With this announcement from Moore it feels like this would be a perfect position for Chambliss to take the opportunity and run to the NFL. But I do not blame these guys for staying and getting a BAG. We also saw Riola and Leavitt commit to new schools. The game has changed and the money is convincing.

Game of the Week: Rams vs. Bears

Chicago Sun-Times
At this point, it may feel like the Bears dominate the NFL conversation, but it’s hard to argue they shouldn’t. After a historic comeback powered by Caleb Williams’ late-game heroics, Chicago once again finds itself at the center of the league’s spotlight. Ben Johnson’s controversial postgame celebration only added fuel to the fire, sparking debate across the media and among fans nationwide. Love it or hate it, moments like these are good for the sport—heated rivalries and personality are what keep the NFL fun.
Turning the page to this week’s matchup, Chicago welcomes the domed Los Angeles Rams to Soldier Field in what’s expected to be below-freezing conditions. That alone feels like an advantage for the Bears, who have adapted well to the cold this season and even seemed to thrive in it. While Matthew Stafford has had his struggles in harsh weather environments in the past, it would be foolish to assume he won’t find ways to get the ball into the hands of Puka Nacua and a talented Rams receiving group.
That said, this feels like a game where Caleb Williams can once again make his mark. The Rams’ defense and specifically their secondary has shown signs of regression over the back half of the season, and Williams’ ability to extend plays and attack mismatches could expose those cracks. Even with the frigid temperatures, this matchup has the feel of a high-scoring affair.
Prediction: Bears 31, Rams 27

Harbaugh 🤝 Giants

ESPN
It didn’t take long for John Harbaugh to come off the market. The New York Giants officially announced that they’ve signed the veteran head coach, marking a major step forward for the franchise. There’s real potential for this team to build something special, especially if Dart develops as hoped. The Giants already boast one of the strongest defensive lines in the league, and their running back room and receiving corps are both in solid shape. It will be fascinating to see how quickly the Giants can turn things around—and just how high their ceiling might be under his leadership.

Burns Lock of the Week: Patriots -3.5

My Bears are rolling, and I think we got ourselves a fantastic shot to get it done again this week but I’m not gonna touch it. If I absolutely love any team this weekend it has to be the New England Patriots. That spread could of been -20 and I was betting it. They are going to find a way to win like always, Pats.

Market Recap:
$DDNK moved higher this week — Revenue more than doubled while Instagram growth accelerated. TikTok remained steady and YouTube finally showed signs of life. No single viral moment — just a strong, across-the-board performance that the market rewarded.

Bullish. If sales stay elevated and IG growth holds, DDNK has room to push higher. Consistency is the key.

Something Positive: Indiana Fans help man in Wheelchair at Peach Bowl

This past week, a video made its way across the internet showing a group of Indiana fans staying behind after a game to help a fellow fan in a wheelchair safely make his way down the stadium stairs. The fan has cerebral palsy and, like many others, was there for one reason — to enjoy the game like everyone else.
All in all it goes to show the world hasn’t gone to total shit. If you ever needed a sign, USE THIS! Treat others how you want to be treated, help those around you, and be a good fucking person. Godspeed friends 🤝
